PLEASE NOTE: THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR CLEANING THE SENIOR MOMENTS “LARGE FEEDERS” AND “SMALL FEEDERS”. THE CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS ARE THE SAME EXCEPT THAT THE “SMALL FEEDERS” ARE SMALLER THAN THE “LARGE FEEDERS” WHILE MOST OF THE COMPONENTS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE.

 

ALSO: THE FEEDERS ARE CONSTRUCTED OF RECYCLED PLASTIC DECKING BOARDS (LIDS AND BASES) AND PVC PIPE (BODY), ALL MADE IN THE USA. 

 

TO CLEAN:

 

STEP 1 – MAKE SURE THAT THE FEEDER IS EMPTY.

 

STEP 2 – KEEPING THE ENTIRE FEEDER ASSEMBLED, RAISE THE LID; AND LOWER THE BASE WHILE KEEPING THE PVC BODY (PAINTED AREA) SEPARATE.

 

STEP 3 – PLACE THE ENTIRE “ASSEMBLED AND OPENED FEEDER”, INCLUDING THE LID, BODY, BASE AND CONNECTING WIRE INTO HOT SOAPY WATER.

 

STEP 4 – WASH THE LID AND BASE WITH A SCRUB BRUSH, CLOTH, ETC.

 

STEP 5 – WASH THE BODY (PVC PIPE) WITH A SOFT RAG, OR YOUR HANDS. REMEMBER, THE BODY HAS 3 COATS OF PAINT. THE FIRST COAT IS AN INDUSTRIAL PRIMER, THE SECOND COAT IS THE HAND PAINTED ART WORK , AND THE LAST COAT IS AN ACRYLIC UV PROTECTIVE FINISH FOR LONG LASTING BEAUTY.

 

STEP 6 – RINSE THE ASSEMBLED BUT OPEN UNIT WITH CLEAR WATER AND LET DRY FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR.

 

STEP 7 – CLOSE THE UNIT, FILL WITH SEED AND HANG UP SO YOU CAN CONTINUE ENJOYING THOSE WONDERFUL BIRDS.
